The pre-season action continues at home to Coventry this Saturday at seven o’clock and this time there’s a trophy up for grabs. The Aladdin Cup will be presented to the winning team at the end of three periods of hockey plus overtime and penalties if needed. It’s a great way to celebrate the Bank Holiday and after a dramatic win at home to Cardiff in their opening game last weekend the home fans will be hoping for more of the same. Jason DeSantis has been skating but has yet to return to full training but could still make his debut for the Panthers. Dylan Malmquist arrived in Nottingham this afternoon and is unlikely to feature. - #Hockey #IceHockey #Nottingham #NottinghamPanthers

After a technical glitch the paperwork has come through and forward Dylan Malmquist was set to jump on a ‘plane from America today. He’ll be in the UK tomorrow but will have had no more than one training session with his new team mates ahead of the weekend so whether or not the coaching staff include him in the line-up for Saturday’s home clash with Coventry for the Aladdin Cup is yet to be decided. Jason DeSantis meanwhile skated again today as he bids to recover in time from a slight knock which wasn’t risked last weekend at such an early stage of the season. Saturday’s clash will be the first meeting of the season between the big Midlands’ rivals and will be played over three periods with overtime and penalties if needed to decide the winner of the trophy. - #IceHockey #Hockey #EliteLeague #Nottingham #Nottinghamshire #EIHL #NotreDame #NottinghamPanthers #PanthersNation
